Are you ready for a suspenseful July readalong? She’s Not Sorry by Mary Kubica is a new 2024 thriller that’s going to give us plenty of theories and suspects to discuss as we follow along with our main character, Meghan Michaels — an ICU nurse who accidentally uncovers a coma patient’s frightening past!

How does this readalong work?

A readalong means that we read the same book together at the same time. Our July readalong will take place the last weekend in July — from Friday, July 26, 2024 until Tuesday, July 30 2024. Each day of the readalong we will read a set of assigned pages and then discuss what we’ve read on the Discord server. (If you’re not a part of the Discord server yet, sign up for the readalong below and we’ll send you the link!)

She’s Not Sorry will fit the following 2024 prompts: #14: A grieving character, #18: An apostrophe in the title, #19: A buddy read, #24: A cover without people on it, #29: Published in a year of the Dragon, #35: Title matches lyrics from a song, #52: Published in 2024.

Reading Schedule:

The schedule is a fun way to read and discuss with others, but feel free to read at your own pace if needed. Given that this is a popular 2024 read, we also understand that those using library copies may not receive the book in time for the readalong. If this is the case, you’re welcome to join in and comment on the Discord server whenever your copy arrives.

DAY TWO: Saturday, July 27 — Chapters 7-11
DAY THREE: Sunday, July 28 — Chapters 12-17
DAY FOUR: Monday, July 29 — Chapters 18-24
DAY FIVE: Tuesday, July 30 — Chapters 25-Epilogue
