March 2025 Mini-Challenge
Who’s ready for some spring cleaning?
We know your TBR pile is overflowing with incredible reads. The only problem? That TBR pile keeps growing! But, not to worry, because this March mini is here to help you “spring clean” your TBR and cross three of those books off the list!
For this mini-challenge, we encourage you to only use books that are already on your “to-be-read” pile. This will look different for each of us regarding both the books on our list and the way we track or understand TBRs. (Some of us have physical piles of books to be read, some have digital lists, and some simply make mental notes of books we’d like to read one day.) However you track your TBR, now is your chance to work through that backlist!
How do mini-challenges work?
Mini-challenges are smaller month-long reading challenges, usually comprised of three prompts built around a specific theme. Mini-challenges are released sporadically throughout the year and not every month has one. Match one book to each of the prompts and have fun reading!

March Mini-Challenge Stickers:
Our other fun announcement for the month is that (thanks to popular demand) the mini-challenge stickers are back!
Stickers are available now at PlanItWithStickers.com as a one-time purchase. (Unlike our previous mini-challenge subscription, we will not be announcing sticker sales in advance, but they will be available for purchase once a mini-challenge has been released.)
This March mini-challenge set comes with two 4×3 sticker sheets. The first sheet contains the three prompts for this month, plus a bookish quote and header stickers, while the second sheet contains fourteen decorative bookish stickers.
These optional add-ons are perfect for those who enjoy journaling or using physical trackers to record their mini-challenge reads. You can find all the purchase details at www.planitwithstickers.com now!

March 2025 Mini-Challenge:
1. A book you’ve been meaning to get to “eventually”
2. The last book you acquired but haven’t read
3. Prettiest cover on your TBR
Match one book to each of the prompts (for a total of three books.) Share your picks in our Facebook group, Goodreads group, or on Instagram using the hashtag #the52bookclub2025. You can also find these listed as bonus prompts on our StoryGraph challenge.

Need some suggestions?
This month’s challenge is all about “spring cleaning” our TBR piles. Because this will vary for each of us, there are no Goodreads lists for this month’s mini. Here’s a quick look at the intention behind these prompts:
1) A book you’ve been meaning to get to “eventually:“ You know that book that you’ve been meaning to read but just haven’t gotten to? Now is the time! This month’s mini-challenge is all about clearing books out of our TBR. Book choices will vary widely from reader to reader. For this prompt, pick a book from your to-be-read pile that you keep putting off.
2) The last book you acquired but haven’t read: For this prompt, read the book that you acquired (purchased, borrowed, were gifted, etc) last but haven’t read yet. As with all our prompts, this may be a physical copy, e-read, audiobook, etc.
3) Prettiest cover on your TBR: This third and final prompt on our March ’25 mini is entirely subjective. Pick the prettiest cover on your TBR (you get to decide what “prettiest” means to you!) and cross it off the list!
NOTE: As an added challenge, you may decide to limit yourself to a certain part of your TBR. (For example: One of our moderators has over 10,000 titles on her Goodreads TBR shelf, so she is choosing to only use books already on her Kindle. Another moderator is choosing to only use physical books still to be read on her shelf.) How you tackle your TBR this month is up to you!
Mini-challenge tips:
1) Do I have to complete this challenge in March?
Nope! Feel free to complete this mini-challenge whenever you like. Some members prefer to focus on finishing the main 2025 challenge first, and then go back to complete all the minis afterward. Others enjoy the added challenge of completing mini-challenges in the month they’re released. Do whatever works for you!
2) Is this a part of the main 52 books in 52 weeks challenge?
Yes and no. Mini-challenges are related to our 52 books in 52 weeks challenge but are also completely optional. Some members may decide to complete the full challenge and all the minis. Other members may choose to skip mini-challenges or to complete some of the minis but not all of them. Some challenge participants might only be joining in for the minis. It’s up to you how (or if) you’d like to participate.
3) Can I use the same books as my 52 book challenge?
It all depends on your personal reading goals! You can choose to read these books in addition to your regular 52 Book Club reads (this mini-challenge makes 58 prompts for 2025), or you can double up and combine them with prompts still left on your 2025 list. Your challenge, your rules!
Happy reading, book friends!
